Black Eyewear at London Design Festival 2018

Black Eyewear at London Design Festival 2018

Black Eyewear has joined forces with Jazz re:freshedLondon’s progressive, boundary-pushing jazz community, to hold a series of events that explore the interplay of jazz and design.

The 1950s was an atmospheric era for both design and jazz, and Black Eyewear’s designs are informed in part by both the music and the moment.  Black Eyewear seeks to recapture that moment in post-war eyewear design, when tradition and craft were still central to handmade frames, just before eyewear design surrendered to mass production.
